Somatic Experiencing (SE™) is a body-oriented approach that helps resolve trauma and stress by regulating the nervous system.

It focuses on releasing stuck fight, flight, or freeze responses to restore resilience and ease. Developed by Dr. Peter A. Levine, SE integrates insights from physiology, psychology, neuroscience, and indigenous healing practices.

Used across many healing professions, it supports recovery from PTSD, developmental trauma, and chronic stress. SE works by gently completing suppressed survival responses and releasing stored survival energy from the body.

Sound healing is an immersive, body-centered practice where resonant tones from instruments like singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums guide the nervous system into deep rest.

The vibrations help shift the brain into calming alpha and theta states, supporting relaxation, emotional processing, and subconscious rewiring. Through resonance, sound encourages the body to release tension, restore balance, and regulate stress responses.

Because the body conducts vibration so efficiently, sound can support cellular harmony, vagal tone, and overall resilience. Sound healing offers a gentle, non-invasive way to promote rest, repair, and nervous system regulation.

Your Questions, Answered

  • It is a private, personalized session that blends nervous system–informed Somatic Experiencing® with therapeutic sound. Rather than focusing on retelling your story, we work with bodily sensations, nervous system responses, and sound vibrations to support regulation, release, and integration.

  • No experience is needed. Sessions meet you exactly where you are. Your pace, boundaries, and capacity are always respected.

  • During the SE part, we work with what is alive in your nervous system. You may be invited to notice sensations, breath, movement impulses, or emotions. During the Sound Healing, integration takes place. You lay down while I play Himalayan sunging bowls, chimes and other instruments designed to support deep rest, cellular repair and subconscious rewiring.

  • This is a nervous system–informed healing and mentorship service, not a replacement for psychotherapy or medical care. When I recognize that a client’s needs extend beyond what I can ethically and effectively support , I refer them to licensed trauma therapists.

  • Some people feel benefit from a single session, while others choose ongoing support for deeper or corrective work. Healing is not linear, and we co-create a rhythm that feels supportive rather than overwhelming.

  • Yes. This approach is designed to work gently and titrated, meaning we move slowly and within your capacity. You are always in control, and nothing is forced or rushed.

  • If you feel called to body-based healing, nervous system regulation, and being accompanied rather than “fixed,” this work may be a supportive fit. In any case, we’ll start with a 15’ consultation to check your needs and expectations.
